The Indian School is a CBSE affiliated school located in Bahrain. It was founded in the year 1950, was initiated by the efforts of the Indian community in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The school commenced its journey with a committed workforce a Head Mistress and three staff members. 63 years of its successful existence, the school has made significant contribution towards education excellence.

Today, The Indian School, Bahrain is one of the largest expatriate schools in the Arabian Gulf with strength of over 12000 students and an enthusiastic workforce of 600 members. The school is spread over two lovely campus located at Riffa(LKG to III) and Isa Town(IV to XII). The location and the facilities available enrich the campus and set the mood for scholastic learning.

The Indian School Bahrain has always been flying high, and now, the effort required would be to raise it to further heights. If there are forces behind to support, it will certainly be possible. Central to this vision is the drive and determination to ensure that everyone maximizes their potential and performance in all strands of school activities.

Our educational conveniences are intended to fulfill the educational aspirations of the students of Indian origin in accordance with the syllabus of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Students of other nationalities may also be admitted at the discretion of the school.

Admission Requirements

  1. Online Registration for admission
  2. Admission Test
    For New academic Year
    One test covering all the subject studied in the previous year (based on full syllabus).
    For Mid-Session admission
    One test covering all the subjects on portions taught so far in The Indian School, Bahrain (Refer test portions uploaded on the website)
  3. Admission Test Result.
  4. Interview with the Vice Principal / Principal
  5. Obtaining student’s G.R. No. , Class, Section, House, Bus No. and Parents Membership No. Data entry into the system based on the information sheet.
  6. Parents take the information sheet to the counter for payment of Fees.
  7. Collecting the bus badge after payment of fees
  8. First day of school. Show the admission card and fee receipt to the Class Teacher. (Student should attend class in School Uniform)
