Al Wisam School was founded in September 2004 as an independent co-ed school for students from the ages 3 to 18. AWS provides a well-balanced integrated British curriculum by offering varied educational opportunities within the school system. We also aim to ensure the wellbeing of students by equipping them with 21st century skills in a safe, risk-free and healthy environment .As a school we promote an appreciation of Bahraini culture, heritage and values whilst maintaining global mindedness by fostering strong ties with both local and international community’s noting that our students and staff are from 34 and 14 different nationalities respectively.

Our educational plan follows the guidelines set out by the National British Curriculum and the Cambridge curriculum framework, in addition to the National curriculum of Bahrain for Arabic, Islamic studies and Citizenship. It is designed to give each child a broad and diverse international education. The faculty members consist of approximately 12 different nationalities.

The school is affiliated with the University of Cambridge International Examinations/ Edexcel for its Checkpoint, IGCSE (Year 10 – 11) and AS/A2 level (Year 12 – 13) programmes. Our high school diploma is recognized by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain and accredited by the most renowned agencies worldwide. Our students are widely accepted in universities all over the world. The school has new ad dynamic systems, policies and procedures to maintain high academic standards in teaching and learning.

Admission Requirements

Welcome to our school! We are delighted to have you explore our vibrant educational community. At our institution, we take pride in our history of educational excellence, dating back over 20 years.

We’ve consistently maintained our belief in welcoming students from all walks of life, fostering a diverse community. To this end, Al Wisam school has seen around 40 nationalities, fostering a global perspective that enriches our classrooms.

Application Forms must be completed and returned to the Admission office, along with a non-refundable application fee and COPIES of the following documents:

  • Three (4) passport-sized photographs
  • Student’s CPR and the Smart Card report (CPR reader)
  • Student’s Passport
  • Student’s Resident Permit (for non-Bahrainis only)
  • Student’s Birth Certificate
  • Student’s immunizations and medical record
  • Parents’ CPR and Smart Card report (CPR reader)
  • Parents’ CV (curriculum vitae) along with the certificates.
  • F.WA (electricity bill)
  • Previous School Reports for the put three (3) years (including CPA and Cumulative Percentage for High School).
  • Certificates of good conduct from previous school.
  • Leaving Certificate from the previous school.
  • Equivalency letter from Ministry of Education (for those who are coming from outside of Bahrain only)
