Kuwait Announces New School Hours for 2023-2024 Academic Year

Kuwait has set new school hours as it looks to manage traffic congestion.

The education ministry has set new hours for school classes nationwide, saying the measure aims to ease traffic congestion ahead of the new academic year.

The new timings are set to come into effect for the 2023-2024 school year, due to start later this month.

Kuwait school hours

As per the new schedule approved by Education Minister Dr. Adel Al-Mane:

  • Nurseries start at 7.15am and end at 12.05pm
  • Elementary schools start at 7.15am and end at 1.15pm
  • Middle schools start at 7.30am and end at 1.40pm
  • High schools start at 7.45am and end at 1.55pm

Kuwait has previously announced the school holiday and education schedule for the upcoming academic year.

In a post published on an official social media account, the Education Ministry revealed the term dates for schools for the year ahead.

The ministry outlined the dates for kindergarten through to senior pupils in the country.
