The University College of Bahrain (UCB) was founded in 2002 by Shaikh Prof. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. UCB is a non-profit private institution of Higher Education, which earned a reputation as the most student-centered university in Bahrain, and, since its founding, has been recognized for its combined aim of achieving excellence in education and enabling students to achieve their goals.
In 2022, UCB received the quality assurance certificate from the Jordanian Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutes (AQACHEI). In January 2023, UCB was recognized by the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia and was listed as one of the recommended Higher Education Institutions for students. UCB is now listed on Safeer, the Ministry of Education platform in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Recently, in March 2024, The Board of Trustees for Higher Education issued a resolution approving the recommendation of the raised by the Academic Accreditation Committee to grant UCB institutional accreditation for four years.
