Bahrain: How does AUBH help students financially?

schoolcover

The American University of Bahrain (AUBH) supports students through scholarships and providing access to financial loans, flexible payment methods, and more.

A University-level education can be expensive. With all the planning and consideration that goes into choosing the right course and university, it would be beneficial to also check if the institution you’re applying to provides financial support. Is it a university that offers opportunities not only after completion of your programme, but throughout your whole educational journey?

The American University of Bahrain (AUBH) provides scholarships and financial aid to students with high academic performance and personal achievements through their University-created scholarship, corporate partners’ sponsorships, and government sponsorships.

  • AUBH Scholarship: 100% tuition support for Bahraini and international students for four years including an internship opportunity

Corporate partners’ sponsorship

  • Diyar Al Muharraq Scholarship: 50% tuition support for four years for Civil Engineering students and a right-of-first refusal interview at Diyar Al Muharraq
  • Batelco Scholarship: 100% tuition support for four years for Bahraini students and an internship and right-of-first refusal interview
  • Ahli United Bank Scholarship: 100% tuition support for students for four years

  • Scored an overall of 6.0 points on the IELTS test, with no less than 5.5 in the writing section
  • Provided all the standard documents required for admission, including a personal portfolio, evidence of personal and academic achievements, and a completed AUBH Problem Solving Test

For other students, they have three different installment plan options for tuition over the period of a semester. Customized installment plans are also offered based on specific requirements and financial abilities.

  • Option 1 (two installments): 50% payable during the first two weeks of the semester and 50% payable at the end of the following month
  • Option 2 (three installments): 50% payable during the first two weeks of the semester and two 25% installments each payable at the end of the following two months
  • Option 3 (four installments): 50% payable during the first two weeks of the semester and three ~17% installments each payable at the end of the following three months

If two or more members of the same family (first degree) are enrolled at the University, they can avail the Family Discount Tuition by submitting the Family Tuition Discount Form to the Finance Department.

They have also partnered with different financial institutions to offer educational sharia-compliant loans to students with low-profit rates, with repayment periods of 3-7 years:
