How was the innovation planned?

1. Our school is the first and only IB continuum school in Bahrain that offers all 4 IB programmes – PYP, MYP, DP & CP.

2. Our school is unique in that we are more of a family and community. We have alumni parents who are members of the Board of Directors; a large number of students have parents who are alumni. We employ our alumni in various positions within the school. We have an open-door policy for the community. We are involved within our extended community and we have many partnerships with organizations in the Bahrain community.

What were the challenges faced during implementation?

Implementing these innovative initiatives required overcoming several challenges: 1. Time and Continuity: Building a comprehensive IB program and fostering deep community connections require sustained effort and long-term commitment. Maintaining momentum and ensuring consistent implementation across different leadership cycles and evolving educational landscapes posed a significant challenge. 2. Resource Allocation: Implementing all four IB programs necessitates significant investment in teacher training, resources, and infrastructure. Balancing these needs with other priorities required careful planning and resource allocation. 3. Cultural Shift: Fostering a strong sense of community and alumni involvement required a cultural shift, encouraging active participation and collaboration from all stakeholders.
