Abdul Rahman Kanoo School (ARKS) opened their new campus in Diyar on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. A commemorative plaque was unveiled during the opening ceremony to mark the occasion. The school’s architectural design reflects the cultural heritage of the Kingdom of Bahrain with the school’s modern building and facilities featuring new designs that align with the Ministry of Education’s strategic objectives and meet international standards.
ARKEDU Group is the first group in the Kingdom of Bahrain to include two independent schools, Abdul Rahman Kanoo International School and Abdul Rahman Kanoo Diyar School.
The school is built on an area of 26 thousand square metres, after taking into account the modern requirements of the Ministry of Education regarding the design of new school models with 52 classrooms, four multi-purpose courts and a basketball court approved by the International Basketball Federation, and a capacity to accommodate approximately 1,500 students.
It also provides a tracking system for the employee and student, which is the first system in schools in the Kingdom of Bahrain through which parents can monitor their children’s journey to and from school. They are one of the first schools in the Kingdom to use renewable energy such as solar panels and wind turbines, in addition to an air conditioning water recycling system for irrigation systems.
ARKS curriculum includes teaching in three languages, including Arabic, English, and Mandarin for the first time in Bahrain. They have also adopted the Oxford curriculum for all subjects and levels of study.
